Morrisville Women Drop Local Rivalry Matchup with Hamilton 2-1
CLINTON, N.Y. – The Mustangs' comeback attempt fell short on Tuesday afternoon as the Morrisville State Women's Ice Hockey team dropped a 2-1 non-conference contest against local rival, Hamilton College.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
The Continentals outshot the Mustangs in the first period 10-4, however Morrisville's goalie, Karoline Arvik(Trondheim, Norway) was able to deny every attempt.
Hamilton continued to control the puck in the second period, once again outshooting the Mustangs. The Continentals were finally able to capitalize on a Morrisville holding penalty, putting away a power play goal at the 11:51 mark for the 1-0 lead.
The Continentals struck again at the 8:06 mark in the third to go up 2-0.
Maddison Devlin (Campbell River, B.C.) capitalized on a Hamilton turnover, converting with an unassisted tally at the 14:40 mark to cut the Continentals lead in half.
Just after Devlin's goal, the Continentals were whistled for a hooking penalty allowing the Mustangs go on their only power play opportunity of the contest with a chance to tie the score.
The Mustangs were able to get three good looks, but were unable to find the equalizer ultimately falling 2-1.
