Gymnastics Ranks No. 1 In NCGA Division III Through Opening Week of Competition

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College gymnastics team was highly encouraged following the Bombers strong open to the 2019 campaign this past Sunday at Rhode Island College. While the squad knew it was an impressive start to a competition season, it may not have known how impressive until Monday afternoon when the initial Division III rankings were formally released. Ithaca's season-opening score of 187.000 not only was the highest team score to begin a season in the modern era for the program, it was also the best score posted at the Division III level through the opening week of meets. The Bombers topped the list of 13 programs that began competition this past week at the NCGA Division III level in the initial score release. The score certainly provides IC with a solid foundation on which to build upon, as the squad hopes to once again be formidable challenger out of the East Region.
