Women’s Basketball Holds Steady at No. 6 in Regional Media Poll

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – For the second straight week, the New Haven women's basketball team finds itself ranked sixth in the D2SIDA East Region Media Poll, which was released on Monday. New Haven is coming off a 1-1 week where it took down Goldey-Beacom 67-43 at home, then dropped a hard fought, 70-66 decision at Adelphi on Saturday, who took over the top spot in the regional poll this week. Prior to the Chargers' six-game winning streak coming to an end on Saturday, the team's 10-1 start to the season was the second-best start in program history through the first 11 games. The Chargers will head to Saint Thomas Aquinas, No. 5 in this week's poll, for their final non-conference matchup of the year on Wednesday, then host Bentley, who rose two spots to No. 2 this week, on Jan. 14 at Charger Gymnasium.
