LIONS TRAVEL TO TAKE ON ROCKLAND HAWKS

The Lions hit the road to take on the Rockland Hawks. The Lions looked to continue their successful play as they came off of a well executed victory against Queensborough while the Hawks are also looking to secure back to back wins as they previously had defeated Queensborough as well. The Lions came out in the first half firing on all cylinders as they jumped out to a sizable lead closing the first half leading by a score of 46-27. The second half saw the Lions preserve their lead and maintain a lead despite the Hawks attempt to mount a comeback as the Lions went on to secure a 78-66 victory. Some top performances came from Volkan Levent as he led the Lions in scoring with 28 points, as well as recording 3 steals. Keyshawn Kennedy has recorded a double-double in back to back games as in this one he recorded 16 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Shabue Mosley and Kervin Lai-Fook Francis provided for the Lions as well with Mosley scoring 18 points and Francis pulling down 10 rebounds en route to a Lions victory.
