Merrimack Women's Varsity 4+ on to Petite Final at Knecht Cup

CHERRY HILL, N.J. – The varsity 4+ boat from the women's rowing team competed in day one of the 2022 Knecht Cup, finishing at a time of 8:34.33. Rowers, Meghan Knowles, Meagan Ellis, Madeline Marcucci, and Laney Tillman were directed down the 2000m course of the Cooper River by Coxswain, Kathleen Bank. Racing against Boston University, MIT, Stetson, and LaSalle, the Warriors placed third in their heat.

Head Coach Meghan Gibson commented on her team's performance saying it was "a good performance today from the Varsity 4+, but we are looking forward to racing again tomorrow and seeing what else we can do."

As Coach Gibson mentioned, Merrimack will be back in the racing shell tomorrow morning, at 9:30 AM, as they compete in the Petite Final of the Women's Varsity 4+ event.
